Will your solution be a drop in, or external pump?

Any plans for a similar product for a 2017 Yukon?

Drop in. You will have to drop the tank. Which on a 6th Gen isn't difficult.

SMG Big Boy Fuel Pump

I have one in my bolt-on ZL1, no cam or lash cap, had plenty of room to run full E85, they work, put down a conservative 650 whp, cam and ported blower next

Awesome... how long have you been running it? any issues? Did you install yourself?

Lack of a fueling solution like this is the main reason I would not attempt to significantly modify my 2018 ZLE. You can add all the power mods you want, but without highly reliable fueling to support it under 1/2 tank and high G conditions on a road course, you're driving a ticking time-bomb. The BigBoy seems better than others, but according to Katech it doesn't provide the surge tank capabilities of the stock bucket because it loses its seal.

If you track your ZL1 you need this capability for high G turns or you will blow your motor due to dangerous lean AFR from fuel starvation. This is a must for anyone tracking their ZL1, and it looks like the Katech solution resolves this issue.

The best solution for track use is a fuel cell with high capacity racing pumps and a built in surge tank, but this requires you to go full race car and lose streetability.

Sounds like a good time to poke Katech again on a ETA for their drop in solution?

Just wanted to update that a Friend of mine had this SMG pump installed on his 2016 SS.

Mods:
Rods/Pistons 377 (10.7:1)
Ported heads
BTR stage 2 centri cam with 38% lobe
LPE HPFP
+30 FIC injectors
P1x stage 2 with 8" lower 3.9 upper(12psi)

Based on the logs this setup is trying to make around 800-820whp.

On E50 this low side pump will not hold pressure above 6200rpm. It drops like a rock down into the 30's and rail pressure tanks. I tried SMG's suggested pump settings and everything in-between. If we turn the JMS voltage booster on, then the pump holds pressure perfectly, but this pump does not like the voltage booster. It causes the FSCM to throw insufficient fuel codes which never happened with the LT4 low side pump. The fact that the pump will hold commanded pressure with a JMS tells me that it simply isn't capable of keeping at normal drive voltage. So, it's not an issue with the FPR bypassing excess pressure.

Anybody out there that has made one of these work on a 800whp + build running E50+ I am all ears!!

You found the reason no one making any real power runs that set up...

According to the website it's supposed to be able to feed "real power". This size pump feeds Hellcats making 900whp on E85 at much fatter AFR's. I don't think very many have run this pump because it hasn't been out very long for gen 5 LT stuff, nor has it been proven. But I appreciate all the help you have provided!!

Reading the reviews they are saying you must follow their tuning setup for the pump. Did you check out the sample file? https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/07...t?v=1684499180
