Looking for member reviews on intakes
Looking into either a toto fab, or I got an option on a cheap mishimoto, now I know numbers are all just "estimates" but the roto fan does claim better gains, but I'll be spending more cash.
Looking into a tune in the near future. What are you guys running and what are your thought on it ? |

Mishimoto whistles and the filter falls off. I would go with roto fab, airaid or afe.

Overall I like the Rotofab. Don't like that filter touches back side of housing, no matter how I position it. Don't like that it causes the hood to be slightly raised up on that side.
My butt dyno feels like there is a slight performance increase. There is a small increase in intake sound and it sounds good to me. |

AFE also makes power and would be my 2nd choice. Haven't tested any others.

I have had both installed the Roto-Fab and Cold Air Inductions CAI. Out of both i like the Cold Air Inductions more and it sounds better IMO driving then Roto-Fab. Also i didnt like the fact the Roto-Fab filter box is not fully enclosed and relies on the inner under part of the hood for a cover. There has been a lot of back and fourth which will be better for you but don't take my word for it, just my own opinion and input here.

I've owned several manufacturer's cold air over the last decade or so. Cold Air Inductions has always been my favorite.

I did some same day testing at the track and the Cold Air Inductions intake (vs stock) netted me some gains that I could not find before I put it on. My thread is a long one, but I wanted to show as much detail as possible. As far as I know, I'm the only one to do track testing. There's plenty of variables that can come in to play on a dyno, so I trusted the track. I made 30+ passes this year bone stock, and the 1st pass I had the intake on, it dropped my ET .08 (I was struggling to find hundredths for months).

To the OP, thanks for considering our Performance Intake. For everyone else, we actually have an update regarding the filter popping off and a few other things with this product. Please take a look at our new thread addressing these topics when you get a chance! Thanks again. |

I have Cold Air Inductions and it makes a pretty sweet whooshing sound, if I can hear it over my cam.

No problems with my cold air inductions on my ride after 4k miles. Made good power after my build but I did not test it alone.
