Exception:

If it was a limited edition like Jeep Wrangler did with "Tomb Raider",they made like 1,000 of them.Though was not like the beast Angelina Jolie rode around in.But you can't find that Jeep anywhere!!

Don't really need all those emblems...maybe two or three....

My husband was actually entertaining ordering this..until I posed the question.

"You're grown ass man,do you really want to pull up in a roughly $45,000 "poser autobot car" in front of all your friends?"

Who drive Corvettes,Porche,one has a Viper,old school Barracuda??

Yeah, I saw that. But what is so special about that particular color that the paint alone costs $5K, Gold leaf? I guess thats my point. That just makes no sense to me. Completely stripping one paint job, and repainting okay. Maybe the cost of having a paint shop 'custom' mix that color. But GM has none of those costs.

its "special" paint. it makes your car transform.

there are hundreds of different paints out there that cost extraneous amounts of money. the sunset yellow is one of those. GM is building and painting the car, so GM still has these costs to worry about. they have to buy the paint (or the ingredients to mix it), set up a separate line/booth just for that color, then paint the car. and the fact that its multilayered doesnt help pricing either way.

Sorry guys, but I am changing my order tommorrow to add the Transformer Edition. My car was similiar anyways..... I think that it is a subtle package and really doesn't stand out from a distance. Those that like the Transformers will identify with the badging and those that don't won't have a clue that anything is different. I like it because it will be just one more thing that makes my car unique, but still factory. The price is really fair since I would have paid up to $3000 or so to have this package. It will always show up on my build sheet, which is something that the fakes will never have. This car will be a collectible down the road! Perfect or not! It's unique! Kind-of like those ugly $5000 rimms that guys are adding to their RS packages.....I can see replacing special rimms for $5000 but some people do. That's their choice and may make their car worth more some day.

By the way, the "Smokey and the Bandit" cars were out before the movie. Pontiac just offered up the TA and the rest is history. (The 76 TA had the bird and gold pin striping) Burt's was a 77.

I would like to see it with more electronic toys inside. Color changing interior accents. Maybe yellow wheel well LED pods.
