? I'm not under any warranty though. I have a 2010 Camaro 2SS bought used with 60k miles. Unless I might be missing something?

I would agree with the tech that it is the sensor. I had an oil pump go out on a different car once. Trust me, the engine tells you, check that, screams at you when there is no oil pressure, there is no doubt.

Agreed.

If the oil pump goes, usually the motor goes in less than 2 minutes.
