destroking the 6.2L?
Well I am thinking out loud and wanna hear some opinions on my crazy thoughts. I will be starting a savings fund now for a built forged motor for when I break the one I have now. Yes i know i am stock now but when i have time later this month and later in the year i will be playing with VVT cams and pushing the car. Planning on starting a build late 2014 or early 2015 for the forged one.
Now what I have in mind is going to make people question why?! But I want to destroke these 6.2L with a 4.8L crank with forged rods pistons you name it. I would like to make a high revving motor and maybe play with turbos again. What do you guys think about it? I know its easier to use a 418 427 etc but I want something different than what you see at the tracks or streets. Can it be done? Or am I just wasting time?

I know where your coming from. Shorter stroke higher rev boost the piss out of it.. Iv seen it multiple times as I'm sure you destroking 6.0l in trucks for boost.. But I am yet to see anyone do it to a 6.2. If I go boost I'm just gonna stay stock crank and forged rods and pistons. Good for 1000 rwhp

MY 4.125 stroke motor turns 7600 regularly. You will run out of valvetrain before you run out of bottom end strength |

Well I do know destroke 6.0s haven't run out of strength but keep going, so figured a 6.2L should be fine. Turbos should help.
