What type of roof moulding does RS add to a convertible? The RS package would be a great deal if they didn't remove the fog lights and replace them with DRL's. When you spend $1350 and they remove something useful and replace it with something useless, it makes it not such a good deal. Most people don't even realize this until they get the car home and start looking for the fog light switch. Don't get me wrong, I love the look of HID's/Halos, but this "No fog lights with RS Package" deal is one of my pet peeves about these cars. This is one area where GM dropped the ball.

Mine happened to have RS package when I found it in late 2009 when I didn't even know the difference. Now I am glad it does after seeing the non-RS headlights.

The RS package is worth it simply for the headlamps. Best driving lights (factory) I've ever experienced.

The 2010 model differences for the RS package were the HID headlights, painted roof moldings, wheels, and also the RS package gave tinted taillights.

Well worth the $1200 at the time.

Got RS and still going to swap wheels for lighter and sleeker look. RS completes the vehicle and when added into the sticker price doesn't hurt as bad. What your paying $15 on the payment each month for the RS package. Worth it but still wanting more!

So you got a $45 harness that adds the fog light switch and swaps out your DRL's for actual fog lights? I don't have a RS car, so I dont have any experience with this, but I've got my doubts. I'm betting that you've got a harness that keeps your DRL's on when your headlights are on. I spent $800 for a pair of new take-off RS headlights and $100 for an adapter harness and I've still got actual fog lights with an actual fog light switch. I'm still up $450 on the RS package, so now I'm planning on Technostalgia taillights and LED fog light bulbs.

The Roof Ditch Moulding is painted body color on RS cars. It is unpainted black on non-RS cars. The Shark Fin is painted body color on 2012+ RS cars. It is unpainted black on 2012+ non-RS cars and all 2010-2011 cars.

The only thing i know of that my 2012 Vert dosen't have that the RS package would give me is the Halo HID headlights and Bigger wheels and tires. and since I do not do much driving at night that is not a big deal and i really don't care much for the generic look of the RS wheels. Too many Cars with that style wheel out there, just look around. So not getting the RS package was not important. When paying Cash for a car the cost of the package will make a difference also.

The Shark Fin on the 2012 Vert is painted body color also without the RS package.

I'll agree with this statement. Having driven my car with both halogens and HID's, I can say the difference is night and day! (Pun intended)
