Went to install my CAI Inc intake and ran into a hiccup - the MAF sensor doesn't fit

It looks like there is a bit of plastic overlap with the MAF sensor location, emailing CAI Inc now asking about it. Hopefully it's an easy fix of just either sanding down that location or getting a new piece.

Congrats and hope its an easy fix. There is nothing worse than waiting for a mod to get in place!

We got a light dusting last night, figured I'd get in some nice "snow" shots before it turned into slush

(this one needs some PS work, I'll get around to it this week or something)

(same for this one, need to 'shop out the electric box thingy)

Are those your winter wheels and tires? Just wondering because they do not look like the stock ZL1 wheels and PZero tires?

Yea. They're stock SS wheels I had powder coated semi-gloss black and the rubber is Pirelli Scorpions.

A couple things I noticed driving around in the lovely weather we've had the past few days

- washing Fiona in 38 degree weather is worth driving her all year round.

- Her PTM does not like winter tires. Which, in fairness, I don't know is because of the tires, the black ice, or the temperature - but in PTM 1 (Tour Wet Traction) I can fish tail like crazy coming out of any turn. Traction/Grip wise I'm fine, but the second I start trying to change direction it all goes to hell. What's throwing me for a loop is that when I'm in regular Tour/Sport mode, this doesn't happen. So I'm figuring that either the PTM modes are too aggressive for winter driving OR the PTM doesn't play nice with the Pirelli tires (which is totally possible). So far though I haven't had any real issues, just one or two instances where the rear end came loose. Nothing The Stig can't handle

- And that sometimes to turn right, you have to turn left.

Spoke with Bill from CAI Inc about my intake. They're sending me out a new connection piece today. I sent him the pictures I took and he immediately took care of me - couldn't be happier with the customer service.

So should be able to get it installed some time next week

Ordered myself a Braille battery for Christmas Big thank you to Doc for introducing me to Braille (yes Doc, I creep through your build thread - a LOT). Doc's post on his Braille battery is below.

For accuracy I'll be weighing my Braille and OEM battery when I install/remove them.

Here's a shot of the Braille battery on the scale:

Here's a shot of the Braille battery standing up on top above the factory battery in the trunk so you can see a size comparison; the Braille is really small:

And my day just got infinitely better - also a little sad at the same time

Someone's using the picture of Kaylee from when she was in Reader's Rides as their FB cover photo. I know it's not about Fiona, but I figured I'd post this anyway because it made me smile

That's cool about Kaylee.

Talking about the Braille battery is ridiculously small. I just found a mod I didn't realize I need...

Damn you... lol

15 pound one - they make lighter ones but I didn't want to risk not being able to start her.

O ok, that is the reason why I was leaning towards the 21lb one to make sure I didn't have any issues during cooler weather but if I won't have any trouble with a 15lb I may lean towards that.
