Never trade in a vehicle or sell it to a dealership that has mods of any kind. They will give you this whole bull crap excuse that "Well we cannot give you what you have put into it in regards to upgrades". You know damn well they will market those upgrades when they sell it for way more.

I guess so... I'm thinking $26K if it's absolutely in perfect condition - private sale.

If you take it to carmax they'll certainly balk at aftermarket stuff and just send it to Auction.
Never expect to get your money out of mods... no matter what they may be. If possible, return it to stock if you're looking to trade in - you'll get the same offer and can always sell your mods separately. Private sale... you're lucky to get 50% of mod value, and that's a very narrow buyer's market.

Egads, really? I guess I got a STEAL on my 2011 2SSRS Convertible with only 4K miles on it then, cause I paid less than that... at dealer... with full factory warranty from day of my purchase (as it had never been sold before).

Hot Dang!

Who told you that ? Mods may depreciate the value, especially performance mods.

Exactly. In many cases, the dealer will remove the mods to bring it back to as stock as possible.

I would not want to purchase a car with mods (other than cosmetic or something simple, like a CAI). Performance mods to me indicate someone may have driven the car with "performance" style, which may not be the best choice for taking a chance on when used.

Look through my build thread and the only thing I took off was my HID lights, ADM scoop, line lock (which I only used once), and amp. My car was always garage kept, was in great shape, with a lot of stuff just about all of us would want. The car had just turned over 20k miles and I had the remainder of a GM 6yr/60k warranty.

I sold mine about 4 months ago for just under $26k as a private sale. I thought that was a reasonable price for both me and the buyer.

Depending on what you have done to the car and seeing that the 2016 is about to be shown in a few weeks, I would say probably $23k - $25k. Once the 2016 hits the lots then it will probably be closer to the $23k mark.

I have had a few different vehicles that i was going to trade in for another that had suspension mods, rims/tires, lift kits and other mods and was told by a few different dealerships that they will not give you what you put into it in terms of modifications.

Nobody is gonna buy a Camaro SS and drive it normally. So if you buy it used whether it has mods or not.
