TWIN TURBO AND QTP ELECTRIC CUTOUTS

hey guys I have a few questions regarding using a front mounted kit like the Fabberge twin turbo setup and using QTP electric cutouts. First, would you make more power with the cutouts being a few feet from where the turbos are? Second, would the exhuast quiet down more and would you hear the turbo whistle more? And Lastly, would it be safe to run it so close?

Hi, i dont have a V6 but i did have qtp cutouts on my V8 with agp twins on it. in my experience i was loosing power with the cutouts open and having trouble keeping the idle alive even with alot of tuning to try and straighten it out. it was causing too much turblence in the exhaust. ive switched out to a larger exhaust and i have noweeds on order. you might have better luck than i did tho. Good luck!

I don't think it would sound good at all but who knows.. and I've been told that you need SOME back pressure or you can over spool the turbos and hurt them, especially smaller ones.

I'm running the Fabberge kit. I have the magnaflow resonated xpipe then straight pipe and it's plenty loud and actually sounds really good..

TWIN TURBO AND QTP ELECTRIC CUTOUTS

Don't have twins but my cutouts sound awesome with my single far as losing hp not sure just up the boost. turbos don't require back pressure that why cats are removed the less the better.

Thanks for all the responses guys, and I found a vid on YouTube where this guy had a 2012 lfx with twin turbos and dynoed it with cutouts open and closed. Closed it was 400whp and open it was 425whp!

Generally, the less backpressure after the turbo, the faster the turbo will spool since there is less restriction on spinning the exhuast wheel. The only potential problem is that the turbo could over boost or creep if the wastegate configuration isn't setup properly or turbine sizing is off (which I don't think either is an issue with the Fabberge kit).

I once had to drive a turbo car 20 miles with absolutely no exhaust piping after the turbo, and man did it whistle. Sounded like a dump truck.

Would it quiet the Exhuast down much? Or no since it's taking the place of the cats.
