Movement in my axles

I have this vibration in my driveline and I'm trying to narrow it down. Take a look and tell me if this is normal and if not what's wrong. https://vimeo.com/150865590

no not normal at all. It's almost like your spindle nut is loose.

When I swapped gears I found the same thing with mine. I also had some wear in the cv's so ordered new axles, all new bearings and they are the same way. I'm planning on going to an Eaton True-trac so I haven't chased it any further,

Mine did that before swapping to ZL1 stuff. It is a little too loose in the spline area of the diff.
Some say normal but it does seem kinda iffy. I had no vibration.

When I did mine I already had solid subframe bushings, put in the Derlin offset bushings and I had a lot of clunking and vibration. Took out the Derlin offset bushings and vibration was gone but still have the clunking from them, not as bad with the poly bushings though.

That looks like the Diff end, the axle actually centers in the diff, its either not all the way in the diff or the bore is bad or the outer diameter of the axle stub.

If they weren't all the way in would they still function? I have around 800 miles on them

As I said, it's exactly like mine. I don't think the problem is that it's not in all the way, after 800 miles I would think it would have at one point gone in. I'm pretty sure it's the bore. In the video, when you move your axles up and down the clunking is what is very obvious with solid bushings. I had mine on a rack and shifting it in and out of gear you could see the axle jump and clunk. Mine was with all new bearings and axles.

I'm wondering if I should just send the axle on that side back and they can fix if needed

Doubt it is the axle. The diff splines and bore are not great from the factory. Some good some bad.

I just decided to not f around and went 3.73 ZL1 diff and ZL1 axles with a DSS driveshaft. Makes some noises especially with the delrin offsets and the solid subframe bushings.
Solid setup though.
I didn't think the regular diff was worth putting money into. Offset the cost by selling my dss axles and stock diff. Salvage ZL1 diff and axles. Came out just about even.
