I just got informed by my GM district manager via Art the same info. Kit numnumber 22972088 is the fix. Of course, my car just got the new water bag too. He claims he is going to send me a list of all parts on the kit soon. I of course will share when thay occurs.

I'm saying the same thing... after 2" of standing water to prove and a new system in place... I fully expected the new water management system when they redo my top...(again) and replace the carpet... instead they said they'd inspect the system during the install to determine the problem... I'm a little annoyed at that, but we'll see I guess. Still waiting on my "new" top to come in

Sounds promising. Unfortunately I was not allowed to see this part today when I stopped in to the dealer. I was told it is in a bag, in a box, up on a high shelf and that it can be reached only by forklift? I haven't seen a building down there higher than one floor. Anyhow, I was assured that I will be able to see this thing before it is installed. No word on when that is going to be, dealer is stalling for some damn reason.

I'll give it a shot today when I bring her in. My dealer and his distict manager are actually VERY anxious to get this done. Almost like they think this is the real fix.

No expectations due to multiple false hopes, but I certainly hope this is THE fix.

Confirmed today that the new top kit number 22972088 is what arrived for my top replacement in addition to the broken 5th bow that occurred on 6-26-2012. The remote dealership will be trailering my vert to their shop and dropping off a loaner for the duration of the fix (if wanted).

They asked for 1 1/2-2 weeks for completion/transportation (3 hours away). This seems a little long for the repair based on other stories, but this particular dealership handles quite a few Camaros, Corvettes and has worked on other high end vechicle tops, so I currently have faith in the repair and will give them all the time needed.

May pass on a loaner, but hope GM Customer service will keep this in mind when I ask for a top warranty and component coverage letter.....again.

Guess we'll all see how this newest "fix" turns out.

Good luck but wtf are the doing to that car that will take 1 1/2 to 2 weeks, rebuilding from the ground up? The dealer that replaced my 5th bow and did top enhancements estimated an 8 hour day. It would have been completed in that time frame except they found wear holes in the water management bag and needed to have it replaced as well. Took a day to get that in and had my vert back in 3 days. It has never looked so good (top wise) and so far the rub marks, although still somewhat visible, don't seem to be getting any worse. Can't imagine what they will be doing that will take 2 weeks.

its a brand new design, and part. its probably their first time doing one of the new design tops, so they are prob just saying that time frame incase anything else should rear its ugly head while they are in there, and have to order new parts, etc... keeping fingers crossed for ya pony!

What you said, plus the dealership is transporting my vert to their shop in a covered transport. They come to my town for the autocross track here almost weekly, but will pick up and deliver when they are here. At least I won't be driving 12 hours plus gas for the transportation.

On a unrelated subject, this same dealer sponsored a track day not long ago and had an opportunity to ride in a fully track designed ZR-1 vette; Talk about G-forces in the corners!! Plus was able to run the vert on the same track; great time!

Just a thought.
