Rarity of ZL1 by color

I’ve been watching my local used car sites for months to find a low mileage 2013 Ashen Grey ZL1 in automatic (coupe or convertible) without any luck. I am in the Toronto area but haven’t seen one all across Canada actually.

Is this one of the more rare colors? I see lots of white and black but mostly in Alberta for some reason. Black is my second choice - it looks quite mean in black and Ashen Grey seems to look almost black in certain lighting.

Hopefully I can find one over the coming months. PM me if you’re local and thinking of selling.

Stay safe and enjoy your Z’s!

I was in the same situation, really wanted Ashen Gray but Black was my second choice. Looked for months and nothing local popped up. I ended up having mine shipped from FL to PA, had a chevy dealership give it a thorough inspection before purchasing it. I'm glad I didn't cave in and go with black, there were several I could have driven less than 200 miles to purchase. Needless to say I really like Ashen Gray, it's just different, especially in bright sunlight. Talk about nerve racking though...not seeing it in person and sending someone a boatload of money was horrible. I lost a lot of sleep in that time! I did however drive to see a couple of camaro's in Ashen Gray just to see the color, one was a convertible ZL1 with an automatic. I wanted a coupe with a 6 speed manual.

Shortly after purchasing my car I went to a few 5th and 6th gen camaro meets and was really impressed with all the colors. If I had unlimited funds I think I would buy one in Crystal Red Tintcoat, that color really pops!

Good luck with your search.

Thanks everyone! I appreciate the replies. I assume these are US production figures? If so, I suspect only a handful made their way to Canada (even though the factory where they were made is 10 minutes from my home lol).

Looks like I’m going to have to be very patient. And here I was thinking that I could find an Ashen Gray vert in Auto with Recaro seats and alcantara steering wheel. I think I’ll have better luck winning the lotto.

I have settled in the past with other car purchases and regretted it later, so I’m going to stay the course and wait until I find the perfect Z for me. Until then, I will continue to live vicariously through you all

A couple sold in the Toronto area in the last couple months, one manual that at first had a camo wrap, then an auto a couple weeks ago.
Keep watching, they are out there.

You will have better luck winning the lotto as the Verts were not available with Recaros.

Sorry, but no. This is the only chart I have.

BUT, as stated below by ZMEnow, just go to the ZL1 Registry web site. Tons of info there.

Super

Not only is mine a nightmare to maintain because one sees every scratch and speck of dust, but it's the most common color too. I will never again buy a vehicle in that color if I can help it.

Of the 7956 2013 ZL1s built, only 361 were sold in Canada, including of course all colours and coupes and verts combined. They were tough to buy new that year, and tough to find today unless looking at cars for sale in the US works for you. That though is still difficult.
