Angry Eaton truetrav/axle install

Recently got my eaton true trac and gears installed. Now its time to put axles back in and they wont seat all the way. I made sure the c ring was faced down. I get it in about half way and they not mattet how hard i bang it. It wont go any further. The splines are lined and it also the correct part. Anybody else have this problem before. I did make sure the splines were free of debri or for damage. They all seem fine.

I used a little grease to hold it in but it definitely took a hell of a lot of push to get things in.

My TT takes more effort to engage the axles than the stock posi for what ever reason.
