Z28 clone what tires and with rim?
Im going to transform my 2ss camaro into z28 clone. I have a questions on what tires size should i go infront. I have 275 pirelli's front with 20x9 rim and 315 rears nitto with 20x11 zl1 rims. Will i have to get bigger tires upfront because the fender flares will hide the tires, and what size will i need.

If you are going to make a clone you should start with the factory size rims and tires which are 305s Pirelli Trofeo Rs on a 19x11 and 19x11.5 rim. Your 20s aren't the right size. Look up the basic facts about the Z/28 and that will give you all the info you need.

I also don't want to change any suspension parts on my car just to fit 305s. Is there any other way i can buy rims or tires that stick out the fenders.

Factory OEM Z/28 wheels are your answer if you are going to get the Z/28 body kit.

Or the 19" replicas from Need4Speed. There's really no reason to spend $4k on a set of rims for a knock off car.

To the OP....just something to think about. If you turn ur SS into a Z clone, and later decide to sell it, you'll never get ur monwy out of it. Not even close because by VIN its still just an SS.
There is another guy trying to sell a "Z28 Tribute Camaro" right now for 39k. Anybody smart will realize that its book value is still a SS with a whole lot of mods. Or if you wreck it or somebody hits you and its totaled out = SS payoff. Just something to think about before you start this project, shelling out major dollars. |

Don't make a "clone" or even call it a "clone"
GM made the packages for the aero and the suspension so SS cars can "upgrade" If you are just wanting the aero and the Wheels, that's not a clone, that's a badass SS. Buy take off Z/28 wheels (19") and the aero kit. You will need 305 tires on all 4 to complete the look and it will look very mean as well as feel way better on the road.

You want to make a clone but you don't want to use clone parts? You simply can't do a clone then. Your statement makes no since in relation to your original post.

I just want the badass stance and look of the car without spending to much. I already know i can get rockers/flares for 650, front splitter for 450 not doing z splitter it will scrape my drive way so opting on gm splitter, i have seen a z28 with gm splitter around my city. rear diffuser will be about 750. total is about 1800. So now i want to know if all i need to do is buy z28 wheels oem with tires or is there a cheaper option. I want to keep suspension stock if possible. I don't work on cars or know much so that is why im asking for help. |

I would suggest you look at the M228 wheels, and forget the wheel flares. To get the Z/28 "look", you need the OEM wheels, period. They work with the flares for that mean appearance. Otherwise, any other wheel is going to tuck in like a '70's muscle car, and look like a half done project. Your total investmet is going to be north of $6,000. Wheels/tires are going to set you back.
If you are also willing to accept a GM chin spoiler, just go with the repop wheels, and spend your money on a Z/28 rear spoiler. As for making a "clone", there have been a few good ones, they all used flares with OEM wheels.
