well so far, there have been 9 reports of these 458's catching on fire all over the world. although, there have been 10 reports of Ferrari 458's being in accidents/crashed.

They have some kind of heat shield that is glued in place. The fix is to install mechanical fasteners to prevent the shield from becoming loose and causing a fire.

Some say burning Ferraris smell of roses. And some say the heat of a burning Ferrari is so intense it has been known to cause the China Syndrome. All I know, is that picture makes me want a s'more!

What Ferrari wouldn't commit external combustion after losing to a Camaro?

In all seriousness, seeing such a car go up in flames makes me sick. I hope everything is settled in a timely manner for the owners.
