Curb Rash (Pic)

How much do you think I could get this rash fixed on the rim. The rims are 20' painted silver wheel(not the RS wheels). Would I be better off buying new rims or can they can get fixed cheap, do you see it as a minor rash?

i would fix it. search some threads, there are people who have gone with local shops who come out to your house or work and do the work even.

Around here rates run $100-$135 per wheel. They might not do mobile service since the wheel has clear coat. If you can't find a mobile repair service to come to you, plan on a 48 hour turn around on your wheel.

look for "alloy wheel repair" shops. I got curb rash once and it was $100 to repair. Looks like new.

Here's a link to a repair....http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...l+paint+repair
I am presently slowly doing this simila repair but have no pics, right now it has been primed, sanded and cleaned( washed) will let it go until I have time to finish.
The paint code is WA569F sterling silver (matte) for wheels. If you can find a place to make up a spray can and do it yourself and get clear for the topping, it may save some $$. By the way I'll be useing this one for winter tires so it doesn't need to be perfect for me.

There's a place in El Paso that does this type of repair for $40 per wheel... They even take the wheel off and to a paint shop to color-match. I had this happen to me too and it's an awful feeling! It can be hard finding a place that can/will repair alloy wheels.
