Hidden Train Horn
Ok so I am thinking about putting a small-ish train horn on the car, and it will most likely be on the undercarriage unless someone else can come up with a better location. I will NOT be adding an air compressor however, just an air tank in the trunk and I will run a single air line from the tank into the cab under the drivers seat where there will be a valve I can open to let the air go to the horn. Ideas anyone?

The best location to mount this horn is on a jacked up 4x4 truck!

Well the cool ones use compressed air and are simple I had to add on to my 83 z/28 5.0 HO
the tank is really small, just be sure they are not pointed to the front as they fill with bugs

Do any of y'all have any recommendations? Possible mounting positions is a key concern as well as the best way to route the air lines from the trunk where the tank will be located

Ok this will be a trial run. The above horn does not require an extra air tank or compressor bc the compressor is already attached to the horn assembly itself so all I will have to do is run the wires. If this works out, I may or may not put a bigger one on during the summer. I will most likely have this ordered monday afternoon so hopefully it will be done by the end of the week! |

Well it all depends really. This is a smaller, more basic one. The horns themselves are actually remarkably cheap, but what jacks the price up on these things is the companies selling all the air compressors, tanks, etc. But luckily for me on this horn the air compressor is attached to the horn assembly and there is no need for an air tank, which reduced the price tremendously.

But in all seriousness does anyone have any good ideas for a mounting location? I want it to be completely out if sight.

Is there any decent place on the undercarriage to mount it?
