My Clutch Stinks
I have 9000 miles on my SS and the clutch has stunk since 5000 miles. This is when run harder than a normal driving. It seems to have chatter sound. The clutch has no feel of engagement.
Any ideas on gettting rid of problems?.

Technical Service Bulletin. It's like a recall but only is in acted when a car comes in specifically for the exact issue.

Clutch is smoked.....do a search for the clutch TSB and you should find a copy of it on this site.

4800A is the bulletin #. The parts they need to replace are 24855748 and 19210297, they are the clutch and misc parts, and clutch actuator.

I need some help folks. Please find for me the website listing 4800A that I can copy. I cannot find this POS.
The parts listed were not shown in a GM catalog. PS: Please quit posting if you if all you can do is tell me to do a search!

This bulletin is what they will give you when you take the car it. Instead of them giving you the paper, hand them a copy of it and let them know that GM is aware that there is an issue and that it is hard to duplicate. This shows them that you are educated on the issue and not walking in blindly to their BS.
Next have them contact the regional service manager and he will tell them that there is indeed an issue, and that the clutch actuator is causing this sticking issue.
