Yup... we spoke with the event planner and have secured a date for our own event.
You can drive your Camaro on the same course as NASCAR or the INDY RACING LEAGUE!!! We will be on the big Oval! Put the date June 25th, 2011 on your Calender! Last edited by 600hp-lpe; 10-26-2010 at 04:01 PM. |

HAHAHA thats awesome..looks like this was very easy to plan out with them and very accomedating. Sorry I did not get the info till recently.
Just open questions. Is there a reason why its just 5th gen Camaro's? 100-150 5th gens is a lofty goal. Doable yes but thats going to be a big number to fill, just one car thats only been out for 2010 and 2011. If its something the track has said then thats fine. But what if it was open to all year Camaro's or even F-bodies? It opens the possibilities for a lot more cars to show up and maybe some vintage race cars or even newer ones might go to this? (or possibility of all GM event?) I mean NEC5 this is your event so its not taking away from what you are doing. But just trying to increase the odds to blow this out of the water! Wont ask any more since I was not online till later on today and missed the meeting. Sorry. Maybe I should give one of you guys my number so that I could stay in the loop. One reason is did anyone ask about the entertainment or the other things that NeXuS could bring to the party? PM me or let me know here. If this is a moot point I will delete this and let thigns carry on as they will be good job anyways guys! |

Is it just the oval or is it with the road course?

We are going to be on the oval, not the road coarse. We had a choice of either configuration.
This will NOT be a racing event on the oval track. We would have to rent the track during the week for a racing event, and it costs around $10K for that. There are no open weekends for the track other than the first weekend in April (if there is no snow then). We are renting the S1 parking lot.. we could have a driving event there for us. This is the Same parking lot that SCCA and SCCNH use for autocross events. |

with the northeast including the NY 5th gens...i think 100-150 is conservative
