New...and Lookin' for the Best Deal in Town!

Hey all, new to the forum.

I am from the Tulsa area, and doing some price research. Curious if anyone can point me in the right direction for the best deals. I am looking for an SS for sure. But options are up for grabs. I’d like to keep the price as low to the $30k mark as possible, so probably an SS1, RS package, stripes & hurst throw shifter. Although I question the “value” of the RS package. And I am still tossing around the option of the auto-tranny. I know, almost blasphemy.

In years past I have driven to KC for a better deal. And I’m not beyond that now. In fact, I have a trip planned to Dallas area during Thanksgiving. It would be easy to swing by a dealership there for the best deal.

One last thing. I have a very close friend, more like a brother, that works at a local GMC dealership. He has already stated he will use whatever discounts he can get to help me, although he is not certain as he has always bought GMC/Pontiac in years past and not branched outside his own dealership.

Hope to hear some good input!

Wow surprised you got no responses! I'm sure it's probably too late now but I got a decent deal at riverside. They had the color I wanted there and ready to go. I wasn't that impressed but I wasn't totally turned off by them either. Overall very average car buying experience and that's not what I look for when getting a new vehicle. I've heard better things about dealerships in okc. What did you end up doing?!
