my new hood finally came in yesterday.this hood is verrryyy light. only weighs 27lbs. i will be test fitting on thursday. after the hood is test fit, i will be doing some vinyl work to see what color combo will work best on the hood before i paint it. i will post up pictures of the process as i start. i will also post the pictures of the color combos to get an opinion of what people think looks the best.

We did one of those hoods. The customer wanted a little cf to show through on the cowl area. The fit was surprisingly decent. The only thing it is missing is the corners are not high enough to match the height of the fender but you could adjust it to have happy medium. Other than that the lines are great.

im thinking of doing something like the SSx concepts with the carbon fiber showing in the middle and painting the rest blakc. but i might have a light coat of black sprayed over the carbon in the middle to blen it in just a bit. gotta get some photoshopping done once i get pictures of it on the car.
i might try ot throw in some flat black in it too if i can.

i was told by VIS that this hood was less than 50% of the weight of the stock hood. ill weigh mine once i take it off.

where did u get it? Can you get it with color of car?

Care with the VIS products they are known to produce cheap stuff. Most of their carbon fiber clear coats turn yellow after awhile and their fitment isn't great.. I would invest in a better CF company like seibon or carbon by design. You get what you paid for. I bought a few products from VIS and it wasn't worth the money. Search other car forums and you'll see there's a lot of complaints about their product. Just my two cents

no, it only comes in carbon fiber. you will have to paint it to match.
