Painted Rims

A local body shop painted one of my rims so I could see how it will look. I actually think it adds a nice touch. The pic is pretty close but it definitely looks better in person and matches the car paint perfectly.

I have the stock 2SS MS wheels, and gat them painted RJT same as the car. I think they look great like yours, too! Plus, cheaper than new rims.

something to be aware of.... if you search around the forum, most issues reported with "painted" rims is they chip easily. Most have gone with a powdercoated rim for the durability.

My rims were painted. They got shipped back to the manufacturer for powdercoating due to chipping.

I really like the look of your wheels, but beware the chip monster.

Thought about it but I'm not sure how it will look. Plus, can you even paint chrome? Can anyone add some black to give me an idea of how it will look?

I am sure you can, you have to prep the chrome so the paint will stick. Or you could have it powdercoated.
