Headlights
I have a non rs. What is the best replacement bulb anyone has used?
Does anyone know what I can do to darken the headlights like the rs lights are?

Are you looking for halogen or hid? There a few few companies that make them. You need a H13 hi/low bulb. As far as darkening you lights check here http://www.headlightarmor.com/10-11-...ting-kits.aspx

wouldn't these reduce visibility at night? I want to do the same to my headlights but I'm afraid of losing visibility.

Yes any smoked headlight kit will reduce light output. With our lightest smoked headlight kit the actual loss is less than you might think. Given the recessed nature of the headlights all levels are going to look a little darker than they otherwise would given that they are going to 'in the shade' during the day - partially covered from above by the bumper cover.

That is unless you put in projectors... there's a DIY kit for doing this out now...

Just an option
He asked about the black, and unless you put in projectors, it will mess with the lighting output, like you stated. But, as stated above, there are other options besides a DIY... but they are more expensive.

If you can spend the extra money then go with some HID with projectors. You'll probably have $500-$600 depending on what you want to do. I'll be posting some more info on what I'm doing in a month or so.
At very least I would tell you to do a HID kit from someone like BfXenon, Flashtech, or AAC. You'll have about $250 in that but it's and easy install and you can switch back to factory Halogens easily. I have a DIY out there on it. However, the projectors are ultimately going to be better. It's just all in the amount of money you want to spend. I might have my AAC HID kit up for sale soon because I'm going to upgrade to projectors. PM if your intrested in a deal on one.

I've seen conflicting pictures of the color of those HOD's.
I bought Putco Nitro Blue (230013NB) bulbs and they are damn close to my new LED fogs. |

They're calling crappy blue overheating bulbs "h.o.d's" now? I guess improvements have been made...

Thanks for all the help. What goes into making mine the projectors (time, money, and parts wise)? I know that's what I really want to do, but it sounds more like something I would feel more comfortable having other people install for me.
But the upgrade to HID is probably more along what I want. What goes into that? I think it's something I could do myself from the little I know about it.
