Magnacharger Rear Cog Drive is the BOMB!
Recent testing proved that at higher boost levels the cog drive is an excellent investment.
On superchargedSS car the with the standard 10 Rib Rear Drive the boost would start at 12.5 and drop to 10 psi at peak RPM, everyone asked where the boost was going and we attributed it to the big blower cam we use. We recently just installed the VERY FIRST Magancharger Rear Cog Drive and I am On the Dyno with it. Now the Boost Starts at 12.5 Drops to 11.5 at Peak Torque As expected but then climbs back up to 12.5 at Peak RPM. This will be worth some extra power as I progress through the tune, I started by taking out timing to be safe and dail in the AFR to match the Boost Curve and I am already seeing More power at Peak RPM. It was Real Nice Surprise since the Only Reason we Thought we were installing it was for the COOL NOISE it makes. Ted.

Makes sence when you look at the belt wrap on the 10rib rear drive.I just ordered the cog setup for a customer -more towards the noise though.

There is nothing better than having that loud whine under the hood, I really hope my Camaro will be making a trip back to you Ted for the Magnacharger with the cog,

I still wanted it for the whine! I hope your posting this from inside my car while on the dyno!! I checked, it's at least 20 degrees out by now. Do you need me to get you a snuggle for Xmas so you can tune in the cold!

So re-tuning is needed?

If you are just doing the rear pulley swap there is no retuning needed, unless you are running >10lbs of boost maybe.
I am sure one of the shops can chime in if I am wrong... but if running at 6-8lbs of boost there should not be any rear belt slippage. |

It could since you will be moving more air from mid to top RPM that was not there before.
It should at least be checked with a Wide band and datalog. Again this will only show up on Higher Boost Applications. This car is equipped with a 10% overdrive Crank Pulley, 3.2 upper pulley which on a stock engine would produce about 16 PSI. This engine has our Smooth Idle Blower Cam, 2 inch headers, and 3 inch exhaust with no kittens so even though boost is only 12.5 the blower speed is up there. Ted.

Yup, I would make sure your numbers are good in the mid and higher ranges.
It is possible you will gain some ponies (I missed the forged & tuned right part of your sig earlier!) |
