high flow mufflers
Is there a low restriction / high flow muffler that will not restrict hp from my engine and still allow me to be sneaky. Right now thumper tells on itself and if you let it go everybody in the county knows it.
I do enjoy that but it would be nice to be underestemated now and then back to sleeper rules so to speak. looks normal sounds close to normal wait where did he go. |

In most exhaust systems, the "loudness" comes from the resinators and cats. As long as you keep all 4 cats and resinators any cat-back exhaust you buy will be quieter than if you bought high flow cats and removed the resinators.
All aftermarket cat-back exhaust kits come WITHOUT resinators which in turn produces more sound. If you want a quieter exhaust system, keep your original cats and any aftermarket cat-back system you buy, you'll have to get some resinators welded in. Or, just get rid of the factory mufflers and put on a less restrictive muffler or an axle-back system. Hope this helps a little

i am running right at 700 hp it has high flow cats and borla cat back it is dyno tuned to current flow rate. that is why i am thinking muffler only change to reach better sound levels without restricting the flow.
