no cats?

If im to remove the cats out of my exhaust, will the car throw and engine code? Am I going to have to drive around with my engine light on all the time?

I think if you have a tune you probably won't because the tuner should have taken out that CEL message.

The question is though....why would you?

In your sig you show that you already have KOOKS with HF cats. If I remember correctly Janetty did a test with and without HF cats and there was basically no change at all. You might do some searching before you just pull them off.

Ya, it was just a thought. I wasnt sure if they would make much of a difference or not.

Yeah, I remember reading where there isn't really any difference in high flow cats and no cats. I'm sure it would throw a code if not tuned.

The cats that come with most of the commom brand are light years ahead of the factor cats. Also on my first vette I ran cattless and it was impossible to drive with the top off or windows down without smelling like raw unburned fuel.
