after several tries they finally hit me

I must say I have owned several cars that were accident magents, but this one takes the cake.

My car has less than 5000 miles on it and has almost been in 3 accidents, one of which would have been major.

When I first got the car we drove it from Ohio to Niagara falls. On the way back a car coming towards us on a two lane road slams on his breaks. The car behind it takes evasive action and goes around it coming head first into my lane. some how between braking and steer (and some help from God) I avoided this accident at 50mph.

Two weeks ago I am going to work and a guy decides to switch lanes, only problem is I am already there. Again a close call.

Well last Friday it happened. My wife calls me and wants me to pick up some fast food on way home. I tell her I'm not hungry but to keep the peace I will grab something for her. I dont want to leave my car in the parking lot for fear of door dings so I go thru the drive thru line. The line is moving really slow and the guy behind me gets impatient and pulls out of line and floors it. Hitting my right rear bumper in the process.

Then he doesn't stop. I'm like hell no is his Cavalier going to out run my Camaro and i proceed to chase him down while I am on the phone with the police. They get us stopped a short distance later as they were in the area.

Of course the ass clown has no insurance. I just got the car back yesterday and it looks good as new. Thank goodness for my $100 deductible.

Props to you for running the guy down. The question is, was the Mrs mad wen you came home with no food?

I hope they arrested the guy. Hit and Run. No Insurance. If he has even two pennies to rub together I'd sue and take everything he's got.

going into a "drive-thru" is like going through an automated car wash.

you have no clue what your car will look like when you exit the other end.

someone else on this website was hit while sitting in a drive thru.

I work for an insurance company and there are ways of getting around a deductible. Lets say you get into a car accident, instead of taking it straight to a insurance company approved body shop take it to the adjuster. If you have a good insurance company like allstate or state farm they will estimate your repairs minus your deductible and cut you a check and you can take it to any bodyshop you would like. After that Im sure you can find a reputable body shop that will fix your car with the money they gave you and maybe have some left in the end.

i have state farm and was told....I can have state farm fix the car and pay the deductible and if they are able to get any money outta the guy that hit me they will reimburse me for the 100 bucks.

or i can contact the guy direct and see if he will pay for it.

i did take it to a state farm shop as i know the guy that runs it and the great work they did. I was not looking to scam any money of my insurance company.

Mine made me do a two party check made out to me and the repair shop.

I too have a $100 ded...nice. $1600 damage by a piece of debris flying off the road and hitting my car... $100 out of pocket.

Your not scamming anyone just because you have money left over after repairs. I prefer to go through my own body shops and they charge way less then approved body shops and I am always satisfied.

Yea they can do that sometimes, it all depends on company procedures.
