Help with ABL Lighting

I have 3 blue lights from GM and the light tube from a member here. I have the factory plugs, car torn apart and I cannot figure out how to get the light tube behind the trim. I don't want the trim to stick out nor do I want to drill any holes. It seems to me there is not enough room behind the trim to fit the light pipe. Any help with detailed pictures would be great.

Thanks

Do you have the ABL compatible door panels? If not you need to do some sanding to get them to fit. Same thing with the dash trim. Needs sanding.

Look in the DYI section of this forum, it will get you started.
Are you doing the doors, dash or both?

I already have the lights in the door panels. My intention is too extend the light from the door panels to the dash and make it look continuous. With that in mind, I would really like too add another light to each of the door panels. Is that possible?

In one word - YES. With the help of 2SSRS I added the ABL all around my door panels and tweeked the passenger side of the dash, looks GREAT at night.

The Homelink LED's have a nice reflection off of the center console.

The pipe fits behind the trim. When I first started the ABL project I was trying to get it to work behind the trim with the trim in place. I didn't realize I had to leave it stick out a bit. At any rate, it fits behind there.

You don't have to drill any holes. You can see two sets of holes all the way across the dash. The inner holes are for mounting the trim and the outer holes are not used, for some reason. This is where you fish the light through. You do have to disassemble the LED.

If you want the trim not to stick out, you're going to have to sand the panels.
