Do you all "hate" Chevrolet?

Now I get the history of it, but none of you say "Chevrolet will do this" or "Chevrolet will have the answer". It's all "GM decides this" and "GM will do this". You all make it sound like Chevrolet is just a meaningless badge and no-one is in charge of it - just some GM guy.

Audi afficianados don't say "VW will do this" and "VW will do that". And Alfa afficianados don't say "FIAT will do this" and "FIAT will do that". Heck, imagine Lamborghini fans saying "VW is doing a great job on the new Adventador!". It's like you're all ashamed of "Chevrolet". Even the very badge of Chevrolet on the steering wheel of the new ZL1 is enough to make many of you shudder.

Yes - I get that Chevrolet has no CEO, but Chevrolet does have a brand manager. You all treat him like he's a nobody who does nothing. I feel a part of car ownership is pride in the brand, and sometimes it is symbolic, but you should be proud enough of "Chevrolet" to at least mention it in conversation!!

Just wondering.

I do pretty much despise GM at this point. Please, Ford, build a Mustang that is not butt ugly.

I'm the only one on this forum that doesn't blackout or otherwise alter the gold bowtie on the front grille. Is that good enough?

That said, I hate the logo on the ZL1 steering wheel.

I don't really see an issue. People want to type or represent GM there's nothing wrong with that, if anything it's supporting a wider range of vehicles rather than just Chevrolet. I definitely altered my bowtie, but that's because Black flows a lot better with my Black Car. I don't think anyone mistakes the bowtie for another brand it just matches the cars better when it's custom.

Hell yes I am proud of Chevrolet, so proud that in fact I have never had another brand of automobile register in my name. Chevy, and only Chevy.

GM as long pushed the one company concept, not long ago that they had the chiclets on all their cars. Most people know that Chevy is a GM car and associate GM as one company. In fact many of their brands have historically sold the same car with the difference being as fascia changes and engine and trim level.

I would bet most Audi and Lambo owners have no clue that VW owns Audi and Lambo and might not buy the car if they knew

I admit I type GM a lot, but when somebody ask's about my Camaro I don't call it a GM Camaro- it's still a Chevrolet. And to be honest, it's the very first Chevrolet I've ever owned, but after having this car GM, I mean Chevrolet might have swayed me to the truck lineup as well.

Is it ok to call it a Chevy? That seems easier too.
