Flowmaster Exhaust making contact with driveshaft????

Hello, I've installed the flowmaster american thunder kit on my 1SS and have about 3,000 miles on the kit now and i only have 9,400 total on the car. until just recently everything has been fine but now the Driver side tube between the H pipe and the muffler is contacting the drive shaft under load. sitting on the lift i have about 1 to 1 1/2" of clearance. I took it to the dealer ship and they said the engine mounts "look" fine. it also seems to be getting worse and worse.

Anyone else having this problem? Any Suggestions?

PS i do drive the "Sh!t" out of it but still don't think that the exhaust should be moving that much.

Thanks,
Dredb

I have the same system. I dont have that problem. I'm guessing one of the connections is not secured. Double check with a performance shop.

PS Dont drive the shit outta her. Your very fortunate to own one...drive the shit out of a 95 honda civic.

Mine didn't hit the driveshaft, but it did hit the body brace under the driveshaft and exhaust.

We ended up building spacers to move the crossbrace down a 1/4 inch. That cure my rattling problem.

You don't treat a Camaro like a beauty queen. She's made to run and run hard.

To the OP:
Try a performance shop or a trusted muffler shop. Sounds like a spacing problem that should be able to be easily fixed.

I have the same kit...No problems with contact. Could be a loose connection.

Who said go red line every time? Depends on what you mean by "drive the shit outta her"... I have almost 15k miles on mine after 10 months... I don't beat on the car, but I do enjoy it and don't baby it too much!!
