Header install: reuse gaskets a 2nd time?

I'm switching to long-tube headers tomorrow and have already reused my stock gaskets once when I installed my shorties (back when I had only a few thousand miles on the car; I have 30K now). Do you think I'll be okay reusing the stock gaskets again or should I get a new pair? If going new, does anyone know where I can get new ones and what types to avoid? Thanks for any input.

What material are the factory gaskets? Copper, etc?

Just spend the few bucks and get new ones, Dont want to be installing headers a third time because of a gasket that leaks. Just my .02.

Absolutely go to the dealer and buy factory gaskets. From everything that I have read and done they are the best.

Thanks. I decided to do just that. 'Just got back from the stealership w/ a new set. A bit pricey for a couple pieces of metal, but if it saves me from having to re-install the headers down the road or, worse yet, get stuck w/ a leak during install, I guess it's worth it.

You might also take a large flat file and file lengthwise down the header flange to aid you in determing if the flanges are flat and not warped. If warped no gasket will prevent leakage. Good Luck

Yeah the OEM ones are pretty darn good from what I've read and heard. I reused mine when I went to long tubes.
