Flowmaster Axle Back
I just replaced my stock muffler with a Flowmaster axle back muffler but when I drive vehicle I hear a slight banging. When I removed original exhaust it was equipped with a welded brace to secure both pipes
leading to exhaust. In all the videos I've watched, this "brace" was never addressed (actually, none of the how-to videos showed it), nor was it mentioned in installation instruction manual. Can this be the source of my problem and should I re-weld this brace? |

Just replaced with Flowmaster axle back myself this past weekend. I also had cut out the brace and never seen it mentioned in any installation videos or print.
Haven't heard any banging noise yet but wondered if would affect it in any way. Could always get some large clamps like used to install and clamp it some where else. Have to crawl under there to get an idea where.
