What is the max height of the top when putting up and down?
I finally got the go ahead from the dealer to use the top (I'm sure you've seen my thread on the frustration with the dealing not having the tech bulletin). Now it's too windy to put the top down, but I'm ready to try it out. What is the height that the top reaches to during operation? Can it be done in the garage, especially for times when it is breezy outside? And, does the engine absolutely have to be running to put the top down? I can understand having the engine running so I don't drain the battery, so just curious about that last question... Thanks all!

My top just touchs the garage door opener bi-pass cord, so there is plenty of room to open and close inside a garage. If it is too windy to open the roof it is too windy \ uncomfortable to drive with the top down. They are made to stand a lot of stress so don't worry about opening and closing it whenever or wherever, just not while your moving, and I assume as in other verts I have owned they won't operate if your moving more than a crawl.

The engine does NOT have to be running. The key just needs to be in the accessory position. I've done it. I think the manual says just not to do it too often at one time.

Thanks to both of you. Went ahead and put the top down with plenty of room to spare. Now to figure out those bolts that the dealer didn't put in....
