Gains from OBX LT's

Are they close to or about the same as BBKs 33hp gains?

Well first off, BBKs actually get more like 20 HP gain at peak, not 33 (which was more around the 5,400 rpm range, AND that was compared to stock. Would be different on an already modified car).

2nd...I don't see how they can be far off. I'm sure some headers may perform just a bit better than others, but I can't see how there would be any big differences between any of them.

Course, LTs will always produce much more at peak than shortys.

GMHTT magazine did a v6 build up. BBK LT's went on first and got 21 hp.Then they added the bbk intake and it added only 3 hp. I've seen this before where the first thing added takes away from the next.Maybe if intake done first could have added 8 or so and the headers then only good for 15?

what he said.
I will have a dyno as soon as I can install the vararam intake and figure out what I am going to do with my current exhaust plan.
V8 Guys already did a bunch of dyno with obx and the gain was always about the same as you will get with any other long tube.
My butt dyno is pretty strict lol so I can tell you that there's defenitely a gain with just the long tube, the 1st and 2nd now pulls with alot more of the back to the seat feel and you can defenitely hear when you get up to 2200rpm even with stock exhaust.
OBX is the best bang for the buck period. For complete SS 1 3/4 system you can't beat the price
