It's an adaptation of The Mysterious Stranger, written by Mark Twain, America's Favorite Author. Good book.

This. It's a scene from a claymation feature about Mark Twain and Tom Sawyer. Made sometime in the 80's.This was one of my favorite movies when I was a kid.
