how do you remove paint from your engine cover

i tried painting my engine cover and idk what went wrong i put 1 coat on and it looked good except for a few spots so i put another coat on after 48hr as the directions said and it went all wrong it looks like the paint started to crack in areas idk if i put to heavy of a coat on or what but it was a disaster

does any1 know how to get the paint off without damageing the engine cover plastic
any help is greatly appericated

sanding.....with a fine gritt sand paper like 600 + or some paint thinner and start over again. Don't put the paint thinner on the plastic. Just put it on the towel and wipe the paint off.

In my time when I did some modeling we used brake fuild to take the paint off the plastic, just soak the thing into the brake fluid for a while and all the paint came off. Since your piece is already screwed I think you don't have anything to loose. Buy a few cans and soak the cover for 1 or 2 days.

Unless someone has an other solution this is one thing you might consider.

okay thanks i just got some spray paint remover that can be used on platic if that dosent work ill try 1 of ur ideas
