2nd Mod (ADM Scoop/washer tank) complete - Exhaust is Next

Before last night my only performance mod was CAI.

I ordered the ADM scoop and Windsheild Washer tank rellocation kit from Janette and installed it last night.

Total time was about 2 hours. I havent "worked" on a car since high school in 1992 so the biggest challenge I had was those little plastic things that help hold in the wheel well. After I destroyed the first one taking it our I realized that all you have to do is pull the center piece and the whole thing slides out very easy. The other challenge was putting the nut on the top bolt of the ADM scoop. The location of the horn made it impossible for me to get my fat fingers back there. To get it done I removed the horn (one nut) and then reenstalled it. Also had to borrow my wifes crow bar from her Honda Pilot to get the tire off. I didn't realize that the 2010 Camaro doesnt have one until after I took out the entire inflation kit from the trunk. All of the above added about 30 minutes to the process.

Most of the mod were easier then I thought. Cutting the air brake (I have a dremel), installing the washer tank and running the hose, removing the old tank (I read in a post about spilling it so I had a bucket in place).

Until I read another thread in Camaro5 on tires and how one member felt like he was hydroplaning anytime he drove over 40 in the rain, I planned to get Borla ATAK catback $1,200) for my birthday (last week). I had the same problem in the rain so I took a real close look at my tires and found that my rear tires were almost slicks.

As a result I got new rear tires yesterday (stock - $650 installed) and ordered Cherry Bomb Extreme Cat back exhaust ($399.00). It is scheduled to arrive next week and I’ll be sure to do before and after pics and maybe a before and after video.

Pics of the ADM scoop and Windsheild Washer tank rellocation kit install are attached.

The APEX tshirt is worth an easy 34-40 at the rear wheels.
