Another dumb question

Is there a road hazard warranty on the Pirelli's on a new camaro? I was rotating my burb tires this morning, and I asked about the the ultimate cost of replacing the tires. The mechanic at Discount Tire mentioned I could buy the road hazard warranty from them for the original set for $37/tire ($39/tire on the rear). It made me wonder if that is already included in the original cost from Chevy.....

Good question!!! I think the warrantee falls back to Tire manufacturer, as far as road hazzard I'll wait and see what gets posted.

Your car must have been built first part of last week, cool. Still waiting for some code updates.

There is no road hazard on the tires or rims according to the paperwork and my dealer. The dealer did offer this as an offer when I purchased the car. He originally was asking for $300 but I just got an offer in the mail from them at $200 for the road hazard on rims & tires

Road Hazard is usually something you can add with the Finance Guy. I got it on mine, I think it runs something around $700 but it also includes any damage to the rims (which is was I was more worried about). Only thing excluded is if you hit a curb and are dumb enough to actually tell them that's how the rim was damaged.

I got it on mine. I think it was around $300 (got employee price on all my extras). It is for 5 years and covers everything rim & tire related. It was worth it in my opinion (I work in the industry and even at cost, a 20" rim & tire is over $300).

Discount Tires' replacement cost for the Pirelli's this morning was quoted at $229 for the front and $239 for the rear. I'm sure I could leverage a special or something for a full set, but these are more expensive than the Michelin's on the burb.

For that matter, can you rotate right to left, or is it a waste of time?

TiffBiff, who would do the work on any warranty claim? Chevy? Or would you be required to take it to a tire dealer?

A local tire chain in NH/MA (Sullivan Tire) sells roadhazard for tires purchased elsewhere, such as those on a new car. Been a few years since I checked, though.
