LSX454

Anyone thought of, tried or is running this 620 hp $10k motor? I'm considering this as opposed to a camed ls3 with SC. Just hoping for some input.

great torque with the bigger cubes but remember that it is not a complete motor for 10k, I'd add on a few more grand, not including installation and tuning.

I know it not a turn key motor but it's still a hell of a deal plus the power possibilities are ridiculous. I think this is the route I'm gonna go and just sell my stock motor to cover the cost over the 10k for the LSX

Just buy the block and build it as wild as you want.
Thinking on this for my 69 build.

I'm great with a wrench but Im pretty sure I'd screw something up if I built it myself... Too many variables... Plus I don't think I could ever make up my mind on a parts list hahaha... And to top it all off I just ordered it

Yes sir... Have been saving for cam and SC and to be 100% honest I got scared to death while reading the failures on stock ls3 motors under boosted conditions. so I'm goin a little diff route... It's gonna slow me down since it cost a little more and is gonna need some more still but I think it'll be a little more sturdy

It's a great motor as long as you stay N/A. They don't like boost too much, since the bores are so big/walls so thin. Good luck and keep us posted on the progress.
