Muffler Delete on a 1lt????

Tomorrow I am planning on getting a muffler delete on my 2011 1lt. I was wondering if anyone else has done it and if it is louder or not. And I am getting it for free. If anyone has a vid too that would be great. Main concerns are loudness more than anything.

I cut the mufflers off of my LS. It sounds a lot louder!!!! and its good until you get high in the rpm's and it cracks.... but for the time being its what i am going with. i will eventually put something on there for a little deeper, higher rpm sound

I've heard of people loving( loud like they wanted it) it but I've heard of people hating it(popping and rasp; too loud)... Look into the dynomax bullet mufflers, gives it more of a real sound

I have muffler delete and the car sounds great when coming at you and I mean great!!! On the flip side as the car is pulling away from you it sounds flat out terible! And I mean terible!!! I am planning to install a bullet style muffler "glass pack" behind the axle to tame it down some. If that sucks then I will bite the bullet and join the MRT club or try som other cat back.

When i was installing my MRTs I started the car up after removing the mufflers, granted it was just the pipes without any tailpipes or tips on it, it was a lot louder than stock and possibly even a little louder than the MRTs. It sounds great at idle but once you get to the upper rpms it really gets raspy and sounds rather ricey.

I cut off as well, liked for two min. Then found ss stock full catback exhaust for $100 bucs on craigslist. Sounds great. And tips fill the diffuser holes up nice. Looks and sounds that great. Oh and $100 bucs.

I'm getting mine cut off Friday, and I'm going to try something different.
I'm getting 3.5" pipes welded on from the rear axle out (at the first hanger).
I don't know what it's going to sound like but as soon as I can I will get pics up and I will try a video. ( that will be new to me)

For the V8s its a good sounding option, not for the V6... Id say just get an axel back if youre going for sound alone. A muf delete may sound like a ricer fart can... if you know what i mean...

I just got it done. Start an idle sound like a true muscle car but past 4000rpm it's pure ricer....other than that it's not bad just really loud and anytime I touch the far even a tap you cam hear it..
