Arrgh! Gum!

I rolled through someone's spat out chewing gum and after a long, fast drive, I get out and it looks like someone silly stringed the rear right quarter of my car.

I've been able to get some of it off, but the rest... Yeah... Will something like Goof Off get that off?

(After seeing what it can do, I will never EVER spit gum out of the window of a car again. This wasn't my gum, but I wouldn't want to ever be responsible for this happening to anyone else's car.)

Goof off will get it off I'm sure, but it will probably also strip off the wax in that area. Just clean it up and rewax.

I had gum on my car in exactly the same spot. Noticed it yesterday while washing. Why don't people put gum in a trash can when they're done with it? I think sometimes they do it on purpose just so people will step in it or drive through it. Gum slings really well in 100 degree plus heat.

We have an entire genertion of young people raised by absentee and non-existent parents. Kids are raised by role models seen on tv, internet, movies, video games and smart phones. Kids never learn to be responsible for their behavior. Kids are raised to be dependent on others and learn to blame others when their life gets screwed up. Kids never learn respect for others.
Carelessly tossing gum is one minor example of a huge problem in our society.

Yeah that sucks...but come on. Who hasn't spit gum out before. I know we've all had. I'm sure people aren't doing it to be malicious. Yes I put my gum in the trash can but if there is no trash can, I spit it out. In a dirt area if I can.

Sucks though...I'm sorry to hear that. I'm sure goo off will work just fine.

Try using an ice-cube to freeze it, then pick it off. Gum becomes brittle when cold.
