Bad rattling from rear Corsa Mufflers, anyone experience this? - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Had a customer come back today complaining about this noise which I didn't believe until i heard it myself. The system has 2k miles on it car is a LS3 6 speed and the rear mufflers have a very bad rattle inside the boxes.

i havent had time to call Corsa but does their muffler have baffles inside that may have broken?

As you can see, there's a lot of thin metal in there that "might" bust a weld and start banging around.

im very disappointed in Corsa over this i havent had such an issue in a long time last exhaust system that failed in our shop was a REMUS on a Porsche like 10 years ago, same scenario.

Corsa better make good on this and send us out new rear boxes this week.

If its an issue with their system they will cover it for you,I've dealt with them for 10 years,and had numerous systems of theirs,both on my personal vehicles,and systems that I've sold,and although I've personally never had any issues with their products,I know a couple people who did,they stand behind their products!

best warranty i know of...gave me free clamps to fix the busted ones on a system a while back that my mechanic improperly torqued...cant beat that..

issue or not, IMO they are still the best sounding out there.

Really? I did three months of research looking at a lot of varied info on Corsa before I got mine. I don't recall anything consistently negative anywhere on them. The key word there is "consistently." All systems had some knocks, but some like Corsa didn't appear to be a trend. I hope one is not starting now!

Ive got 60k miles on a cobalt corsa and it rattles, only becuase i drove off the side of a sidewalk by accident and dented the resonator, cracking a piece loose in them- the mufflers are straight through, the resonators are more break prone..lol.

I went through 3 corsa catbacks on my 02 years ago because my mufflers kept rattling. They did take care of it everytime with no issues. It just sucked having to take the system off and reinstalling it again
