Can I raise my car?

I feel that its too low. There are constantly on the entrance and exits of MANY expressways where the joint of the concrete meet, and creates this angular shape. And its very deceiving because even when I Im anticipating it, and though its not easily spotted, I still get a large BANG sound as it hits something under my car. Even when I go particularly slow, there seems to be no way to avoid it.

1-So how can I raise my car?
2-Has anyone else done it?
3-will the car look much different?

Its such a shocking bang especially for my passenger, I have to do something.

Are you sure it is hitting something under your car? maybe something is just loose. It takes something VERY tall to bottom out a stock ride height car.

You can buy spacers for the front and use washers to raise the rear. But I think you can raise it maybe just under an inch.

If you want to go higher than that you will probably have to buy coil overs.

I've never really heard of people have clearance issues with their 5th gen......other than scraping the lower front bumper on curbs in parking spots.
I wouldn't raise your car at all. It would look extremely stupid. I'd suggest driving a different route if you are having problems with scraping under your car at one part of the road....or go slower in the bad areas.

Have it checked out by the dealership, it could be excessive play in the front strut towers.

By the pic in your signature it looks like the previous owner may have lowered your car. Just replace the lowering springs with stock springs. You could probably find somebody willing to trade their stock springs for yours.

you might try some twist-in spacers for your front and rear springs you should be able to get 2 sets for under $20 it wont be a dramatic lift but it might be just enough to keep you from scraping. I put some on my Magnum because I couldn't even get oil changes because it was so low!

Like someone else stated above me, if your previous owner lowered your Camaro, replace the aftermarket springs with stock springs. The stock height has a perfect stance in my opinion.
