Hold my car until I return from vacation?

Anyone know how long a dealer is obligated to hold your car until you can pick it up? I've got a couple 2 week long vacations coming up where I will be way out of the US...

I don't see two weeks being a problem. Just notify your dealer so they know the deal.

I bet the dealer would LOVE to hold it in their showroom. Tell them to put tape around it so no one can touch it.

I may have to do the same thing, but only for 1 week.

I would say that they would love to keep it there.... But i would try to make it like i was doing THEM a favor by letting it sit there for 2 weeks maybe tell them for a small fee you will let them keep it in the show room lol

I'm in a similar situation. Working in Colorado till end of May. My car may come to the dealer in Oregon while I am here. The dealership owner will put it in his own climate controled garage so no one can mess with it.

It depends on what time of the month it arrives and whether you have signed a sales contract yet or not. If you haven't signed a contract on it and it arrives near the time the floor plan audit comes around, they will have to pay interest on that car if it is still on the property. If they have a signed contract on it, they can keep it there for a longer period.
