Need help with Metra install!!!
Last weekend decided to try and install my metra kit. Now, I have a non ba system and when I installed my metra kit my left front speaker wasn't working. I checked the speaker by putting the stock radio back in and it worked. Need help do I need to upgrade my metra system or what!? Ha thank you

You need to have the module updated. I had the exact same problem.

Well I wish that was easy for you. I had to borrow a cable from the audio shop I bought mine from (they didn't know how to do it, and I installed car audio professionally for over a decade...so I was certain I could do it) so anyway, you need the cable, you can get the software update free on the net...I think the name of the company is on the control unit. If not call Metra...they can point you in the right direction. Also, I need to point out that the update plug is inside the box. That right, you have to take the box apart to get to it.

If I have the ba system will I come across this issue as well? I have my metra kit coming in the mail. About to put in a pioneer avh-4300dvd.

Just talked to metra, and I gave them the number that was on the interface. Metra says that my interface is updated so I'm not sure what the problem is from now

 Check all your wires. Sounds like something was not connected right. Its a multiplex system. (If one things wrong, multiple things will not function correctly along with it.) Check your speaker wires off of the harness, make sure everything is connected. Is your A/C working properly?

Tried installing it again with metra on the phone and still had the same problem. Anyone have problems with the interface being faulty?

yes two of my interfaces have gone bad, make sure you update it!!!! For nwo we have no other choice!
