CAI for a Daily Driver
I've had my SS daily driver for almost 2 years and 36k miles. It has more power than I'll ever use so have not done any mods...until now. Added a CAI - figured 10 extra HP wouldn't make much difference by why not.
OMG it did make a difference ! No hesitation, punchier acceleration and seems to even sound better. Was test driving the new CAI and the speed limit went from 30 to 55 so I got on it a little, listening to that engine purr wondering why Chevy chokes off the power with the stock air cleaner... when I look in the mirror and see the flashing lights, look down and see I'm going 79 . So anyone that hasn't done the CAI yet I say go for it even if you never take it over 75. But watch the speed or you'll be donating to the state like me. |

A CAI is almost always a good investment. I had one on my G8 and I'll be getting one on my charger. I like the better response time the best...

You just convinced me to get the CAI, i was stuck between that and a roto-fab.
(by the way be careful with your personal info with that ticket, someone might be able to enhance that thing!) Last edited by Horth; 09-22-2011 at 10:23 PM. Reason: warning |

Add the ADM air scoop and you'll really love your open bottomed intake. Especially with this nice cool and crisp fall air.

Definitely add the ADM scoop. It's well worth the little extra time and money.
