Installed a TouchScreen Radio in my Camaro :)

Tell me what you think the pics are pretty bad but it pretty much shows the main point. It took forever, me and my cousin soldered the wires which pretty much took the whole afternoon. It was a fun project =]

Model Chevy Camaro 1lt

I had nothing but problems lol. I used the metra kit, bought it from crutchfield.com. It was a little bit pricey but worth it because it came with everything needed, car kit, harness etc. When it came time to put the radio in the car we couldnt fit the wires and everything inside because the inside is a really small space...We had to be a little creative and stick wires through the sides and what not. The mic for the bluetooth i put it through the right of the car, basically i had to take apart the side with the fuses and snake the wire through. But it was totally worth it to play + charge my ipod at the same time :P and play videos . idk if i helped, honestly my cousin did most of the soldering i helped take apart the car and place it

Yea the system has it all + nav. The kenwood was 1200 i bought it last year though. Depending on the model it can be decent ....And the peice was 300 , but if you buy it with the radio they discount u half price on crutchfield.com

Wally - quick question, is that a readout screen on the top of the metro kit? I want to do this my self but am a little worried that the heat/air controls are going to be hard to use.

For example, there is a temp up and temp down button but do you know where you are currently?

Thanks. Looks good btw, I think it's a major improvement over the stock radio.

Thanks!. The top part of the radio shows you a readout of your current setting on ur temp. Its all electronic now and i think its even nicer then before. I would recommend it , its a nice upgrade. I used the metra kit to, the only problem I ran into was when it came time to stuffing everything into the camaro because its a pretty small space. I can take a picture of what it looks like when on , so you get a clearer image. If you'd like that you can email me. (Wally@manrique.net) Hope i helped!
