New possible fix for clutches that engage too high in the stroke

I know this is a somewhat old topic but I just had my 2010 ss in the dealer today to see what they had to say about mine. As it turns out in my case there was a piece of sound deadening material that got wedged between the clutch master cylinder and firewall when they were bolted together at the factory. This in a sense shimmed the clutch master cylinder in turn making my clutch pedal have to travel further to reach its point of engagement. They removed the clutch master cylinder, removed the material, reinstalled and bled the system and let me tell you....WHAT A DIFFERENCE Just thought I would throw this out there as another possible cause for some peoples issues with the engagement point.
