It looks like the ZL1 will have taller 3.73 gears.

Thats what it needs. When the Camaro SS was compared to the new 5.0 Mustang it should have 3.73:1 gears. The GT does. 0-60 would probably be the same then. With a 3.45:1 rear in the Camaro SS take-off is slower.
