Water leak
Please, I need some help. Recently I have installed a Borla Atak catback exhaust and had no issues so far. But today I noticed a leak between one of the connections of the exhaust, apparently water. I tried to check it for anything on the pipes (holes or something else), but nothing. I do not know if I am suggested but the sound appears to be a little different in middle or high revs, I can hear something like a whistle.
Is it normal having water leaks on the pipes? Does this whistle means anything? Thanks |

Water is a product of the combustion process, nothing to worry about. If you drive the car for a few miles to get the exhaust system hot enough, the water vapors will go out the exhaust tips instead of condensing on the cool pipe walls.
You might try reseating the connections (or have them welded) to see if you can get a better seal at the joints. This may be the cause of your whistle too. |
